Haringey Fundraiser for Viva La Educación

Haringey supporters of the Viva La Educación, educational aid for Cuba appeal, held a fundraising evet on Friday 27 January which netted almost £2,500 for the appeal. The evening was sold out two weeks in advance and supporters came from across London to attend. Guests enjoyed a sit down meal; a speech by guest of honour, Cuban Ambassador, Her Excellency Bárbara Montalvo Álvarez; music from the Latin/Cuban band Latin Bridge; and great compering from Ian Saville the socialist magician. Altogether it was a great night and organisers were delighted with the amount raised for the campaign.
